• To go along with this quality, she is also one of the most popular first ladies. Such was demonstrated in the e-currency markets in 2025. After DJT had his first meme coin released, Melania wanted a taste of the action. Not long after, there was a Melania meme coin, with the e-currency reaching up to 20% of her husband's popularity. She shouldn't be as popular as DJT, and I would argue 20% popularity as a standalone White House celebrity is far outside the norm (two standard deviations to the right) of other first ladies. Her popularity was celebrated and reinforced again in 2025 with her Amazon movie. That film was highly rated and was a streaming hit for Amazon. However, what interests me is not her popularity or mental faculties, but her origin story and her tenacious foreign policy.

Though these ideals have been front and center in the UK and Germany, action has been slower than my analysis permitted. Melania is a by-product of this Slovenian perspective and, maybe not directly early in her life, but eventually lived the ideals of that perspective.

For at least six months, Melania constantly persuaded Putin to release the children he took from Ukraine. She did not beg, or even ask her husband, to take the matter up with Putin. The First Lady herself wrote a letter and brought international scrutiny upon Putin. She alone is responsible for the release of those children.

It is highly likely you will see her throw support to another foreign-policy initiative in the near future. With her recent Russian success, I'd even argue that Melania would do so every quarter.
