Verifiable Mission Assurance: Prediction Reckoning
As a defense company, we are subjected to a variety of protection regulations. Some of those are cyber requirements (such as CNSA), others are information-protection matters (classification levels), and some deal with the physical security of your company's assets (FPCON). These defense priorities are enforced by our sponsoring agency out of concern for information leaks and malicious tampering. Unfortunately, both Intel and AMD do not have these same restrictions when it comes to commercially sold goods. In this article, it will be shown why Time-of-Neutralization to Time-of-Use Windows (TONTOU) exist and why this has already been solved more times than can be counted. Originally, over the last weekend, Sigcryptal was on the verge of a new quantum paradigm breakthrough, until it was discovered that one of the implementations of this novel paradigm could be used to solve TONTOU concerns.
