Future Applications: Personalized Infrared Thermography

Predictive maintenance has a long history of civilian and military applications. In 2017, it was the military buzzword for all of the services. The USAF was partnering with Intel's Israeli research division (Mobileye), the USN was experimenting with condition-based maintenance (CBM) for next-generation littorals, and, finally, the Army was just in awe of the idea :P It is important to note that the Army's Futures Command was able to produce a deep-learning framework for applied infrared vision conversion (which is critical later in this article).
